Synopsis
On the banks of the São Francisco River, three sisters reside. The inertia of anticipation, jealousy, and the beat of hope intricately weave the central plot of the narrative. On the eve of her engagement, the youngest of the girls falls in love with a foreigner, embarking on a wait for his return of an undetermined duration, entangling the trajectories of the characters in a dramatic knot. The plot unravels as a consequence of this waiting and a fantastical event that infects everyone and makes them live in the expectation that something will change in their lives.
