Step 1<\/strong><\/h4>\n

As a taxpayer of the Income Tax in complete mode, make a deposit in the amount of your support in the indicated bank account. The amount corresponds to up to 6% of the tax due.<\/span><\/h4>\n

How does it work?<\/span><\/h3> <\/div> <\/div>

It is a federal tax incentive mechanism: The amount allocated to a project approved by Lei Rouanet, can be deducted 100% from the income tax due, up to a limit of 4% of the total amount of income tax paid. For example: If a company pays R$ 10 million (10 million Brazilian Real) in income tax to the government, it can therefore allocate R$400,000 to encourage and sponsor a cultural project, obtaining the exposure counterparts of a normal sponsorship. How does it work?<\/h2><\/div>

Step 1<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Companies taxed in real profit can invest in cultural projects approved by the Ministry of Culture (MinC) under Lei Rouanet, deducting up to 4% of the income tax due.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Step 2<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The investor must deposit the desired amount for sponsorship in the bank account of the project (opened and supervised by the MinC) by the last business day of the current year. After the deposit, an official document is issued - Mecenato Receipt, which will serve as proof of sponsorship, so that the tax waiver can be made.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The reimbursement of the sponsorship made will come in the following year, in the form of a refund or reducing the amount of income tax to pay.<\/span><\/h4>\n

It is a state tax incentive mechanism: the amount allocated to a project approved by ProAC ICMS can be deducted 100% from the ICMS due by the legal entity**, up to the limit of 3%* of the tax amount paid. Example: If a company pays R$ 5 million (5 million Brazilian Real) in ICMS per month to the government, it can allocate R$ 150.000 to encourage and sponsor monthly a cultural project, obtaining the exposure counterparts of a normal sponsorship.<\/span><\/h4> <\/div> <\/div>

How does it work?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Step 1<\/strong><\/h4>\n

For a company to become a sponsor in the ProAC program, its accreditation must be done on the SEFAZ website (Secretariat of Finance of the State of S\u00e3o Paulo). At the beginning of the month following the request, SEFAZ first verifies if the company meets the requirements established by the legislation, in order to enable it in the system.<\/span><\/h4>\n

\u00a0Step 2<\/strong><\/h4>\n

From then on, the company can actively sponsor projects approved by ProAC through the SEFAZ system. The SEFAZ system calculates the maximum sponsorship amounts that can be allocated each month. The enabled company issues bank slips via SEFAZ system to\nsponsor cultural and\/or sports projects, and must pay these slips by the last business day of the month of issue.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Step 3<\/strong><\/h4>\n

After payment of the bank slips, the percentage of ICMS allocated to the projects becomes a credit, and is automatically deducted from the next ICMS to pay.
